I intend to put together a talk/debate about some of the content in my substack.
Out of the Valley: Raising the Water Line
I held a Friday evening session in 2025 that was derived in small part from my earlier posts but much less formal. A year later, I have an additional 25 essays and an aggregation sequence that is much more coherent.
I have a draft session saved already in the event app, but have not scheduled it yet.
I have several Claude threads about what I might actually present.
I have zero presentation actually assembled so far.
I reserve the right to bet YES in this market as positive incentive, since I am anxious about putting something like this in front of people I respect and fear intellectually.
Resolution criteria
This market resolves to YES if I host or facilitate a scheduled session (such as a talk, debate, panel, or workshop) at the LessOnline 2026 festival (scheduled for June 5–7, 2026, in Berkeley, CA).
To count as "holding a session," the following conditions must be met:
The session must be officially listed on the LessOnline 2026 schedule (whether in the official event app, on the website, or in the physical program).
The session actually takes place with me actively presenting, leading, or co-hosting it.
This market resolves to NO if:
I attend the event but do not host or facilitate any scheduled sessions.
I do not attend LessOnline 2026.
LessOnline 2026 is cancelled or does not occur within the calendar year of 2026.
