<insert long but vague description of AI and thing humans do>

You definitely won’t be here. Manifold probably won’t be around. But let’s argue about moving goalposts and what even is intelligence.

I will resolve this in the most controversial way possible

@digory "AIs are not humans"

@barbarous I asked chatgpt

AIs will always do ambiguous thing. Any goal post you can think of they will kinda sorta but not really pass.

5 years ago AI couldn’t do anything now they do Things so Long Time From Now at current rate of progress AI will be able to do Thing

bought Ṁ1 YES

Once the singularity happens, it won't be possible to predict the future, the past will become stretched out into infinity, everytying will be possible, and questions will be resolved 'yes'.

I will resolve this in the most controversial way possible

The most controversial resolution would be to a number that has taboo meaning. In Mandarin Chinese, the most spoken first language in the world, the number four is 四 (si), which is taboo because it sounds like 死 (si) which means death, therefore this market will resolve to 4%. If we insist on euroamericentrism, then 13% also works.

Conventional wisdom has blamed a number of sources for 13's supposed bad luck.

One is linked to Christianity - there were 13 people at Jesus Christ's last supper which happened just before he was betrayed by Judas Iscariot, the 13th to be seated, and arrested for blasphemy.

Similarly in Norse mythology, Loki, the god of mischief and deception, is the 13th guest at a dinner of the gods where he tricks one of Odin's sons into killing another.

There's also 666 (the number of the beast) but we can't resolve to hundreds or decimals, and 66 on its own doesn't have the same taboo.

Far off Time is crazy. Have you tried modern AIs? With the right harness, they can practically already do Ambiguous Thing!

@rayman2000 can you give me proof of doing Ambiguous Thing? Because I’m just not sure.

Sometimes they make error.
