Will I find a better way to get the parmesan cheese I like?

I like dried grated parmesan cheese. I consume up to several bottles a week.

I only like the types that also come with other kinds of cheese mixed in, such as these:

I do not like plain parmesan cheese, such as these:

Ufortunately, Canadian supermarkets seem to only carry the plain versions. I've checked 20+ stores in multiple provinces, and none of them have had the ones that come with a blend of different cheeses.

Right now, my best options are:

  • Fill my suitcase with them before the return trip whenever I travel into the US.

  • Pay someone in the US to buy a bunch and ship me a big box.

  • Buy them individually for exorbitent prices off Amazon or another online retailer.

I'd really like to find a cheaper and more convenient option, such as buying in bulk for reduced prices. Market resolves based on whether I do by the end of April.

Any suggestions?

How long is the use by date on this stuff?

predicted NO

@JohnSmithb9be They start getting a little stale after a few months.

Buy whole blocks of Parmesan and other cheeses, along with a food processor. At "several bottles a week" grating your own quickly pays for itself, and it doesn't take long.

@jfjurchen I doubt I would find that as tasty.

@IsaacKing What if you used really old, low quality cheese

@jfjurchen That might help.

As an Italian, this question offends me

have you tried amazon?

@Wobbles Shipping is usually pretty quick and cheap, but I'm not sure about where u live

@Wobbles Oh yeah, I looked into that too, but the prices were ridiculous.

@IsaacKing what did you find?
