Some of the more "fun" Manifold markets tend to have a lot of back room deals to perform certain types of market manipulation and share mana via manalink. These rely largely on trust, and are unenforceable.
This presents a temporal collective action problem with myself. If someone makes a deal with me and then reneges, I have no way to punish them at the time, and they get to walk away with a hefty profit. Then the next time an opportunity for a deal comes around, it would hurt me to not be willing to work with them.
The best avenue around this is to demonstrate a credible committment to not agree to deals with anyone who has previously broken a deal with me. Hence this market.
I will not bet on YES or sell any NO in this market.
Note that this only applies to clearly-specified explicit deals, not implied ones. It doesn't apply to any deals I may have forgotten about before creating this market. And it doesn't apply if them backing out of the deal was done with my consent.

@L No, I'm referring only to a verbal agreement, like "I will bet M$1000 on YES in that market". Just betting against me in some gamble market is not defecting against me, since you had never told me you wouldn't do it!
