This market, rather than calculating the percentage of songs on Speak Now (Taylor's Version) that are improvements, asks whether Speak Now (Taylor's Version) will be better than the original Speak Now.

I have been rating all Taylor Swift songs, as well as rating characteristics and keeping a wide variety of statistics related to them, as a statistics project to learn more about what causes me to like music. Some music by Taylor Swift I like, some music by her I don't live, but they're similar, so the offer good analysis in terms of what aspects of songs make differences to whether I like them.

Speak Now is my highest-rated album by average song ratings with a score of 7.5/10 (Speak Now: Deluxe has a score of 7.25/10, however 3 of the highest rated Deluxe songs won't be present on Speak Now (Taylor's Version)).

Other albums have seen increases in scores upon re-recording, although recent trends have been shifting back in favor of the originals. Although the scores are slightly outdated, the data so far shows:

Fearless: 6/10

Fearless Platinum Edition: 5.68/10

Fearless (Taylor's Version): 6.46/10

Red: 5.56/10

Red Deluxe Edition: 5.73/10

Red (Taylor's Version): 6.27/10

Thus indicating that usually, re-recordings have done better than original albums. However, as I said, I need to re-rate the original albums and scoring may be outdated. I have also never before listened to an original album before a re-recording and that might influence my view. In addition, I think that the sound quality — something that tends to improve on re-recordings — for Speak Now is already good, while it's one of the weak points for Fearless and Red.

Additional information so far is that for the clip that has been released of Mine (Taylor's Version), a 7-second or so clip, I think that the original is better as the vocals sound less energetic.

This market resolves YES if Speak Now (Taylor's Version) has a higher rating on my spreadsheet than Speak Now and Speak Now (Deluxe) after I first complete rating it.
