@KevinBlaw I don't think JD Vance was talking about Jay Jones. The recently published violent text messages from Jay Jones were sent in 2022 when he was 33 years old.
@HankyUSA Trump has proved the conventional wisdom wrong. Voters like this kind of talk.
@WilliamBarr I am not sure I follow your logic but maybe you are just trying not to get indicted, Mr. Barr. Trump is coming for you.
@HankyUSA those exact words? No. That sentiment? Pretty sure he has mused about bringing back public executions like his buddies the Saudis.
@HankyUSA I think my main point is: who is the Jones voter who is turned off by a hyperbolic private text who thinks the Republican rhetoric is more palatable? It truly has the feel of “grab them by the pussy” which voters just shrug off.
@KevinBlaw I still think murder of political opponents and their children is more alarming than anything I've heard from Donald Trump. Bringing back the death penalty is a very distinct sentiment. More importantly, Donald Trump has never won in Virginia, so the way he talks doesn't indicate that Virginia voters like that kind of talk.
@HankyUSA What I am sure about is that the vote will be closer than the odds we are presented with here. At 40%, I think Jones is a good wager.
@HankyUSA disappointed in an electorate that is sick of Republican bullshit and hypocrisy? Because we know of Trump said it, it would somehow be OK and that we should also tear down the White House and lay Trump 230 million?
@KevinBlaw I'm disappointed in the Virginia voters that voted for Jay Jones. I also happen to be disappointed in anyone who voted for Donald Trump, but not everything has to be about Donald Trump.
