Jobless claims are a statistic reported weekly by the U.S. Department of Labor that counts people filing to receive unemployment insurance benefits.
This market will resolve YES, if the (seasonally adjusted) number of Americans that filed initial jobless claims for any of the weeks of January exceeds 220,000.
The last week considered in this market is the week ending on February 4.
The resolution source for this market will be the United States Department of Labor’s Weekly Unemployment Insurance Claims report.
