NO

China want people to use Xizang rather than Tibet to talk about the region, and are instructing others to do so.

Will any major western media, as defined by the 50* outlets on the below list, call it by Xizang before 2026?

Resolves YES if posted proof of article going for Xizang as main denomination. E.g. "The region Xizang (formerly known as Tibet)" would count, while "Tibet/Xizang" or "Tibet, which the Chinese government want you to call Xizang" would not.

I will not trade in this market.

*Exception for People's Daily, South China Morning Post, The Times of India, and others I might have missed that have similar geographic provenance.

Market with same criteria, but for 2027 below

Resolving this NO unless I get any objections.

I can find mentions like this one from BBC, which clearly slots into the type of "'Tibet, which the Chinese government want you to call Xizang' would not." category mentioned in the description.

I'd suggest also a separate market for us/eu media
