Resolution criteria

This market resolves to YES if Cristiano Ronaldo scores his 1,000th official career goal before January 1, 2027. If he has not reached 1,000 official career goals by 11:59 PM UTC on December 31, 2026, this market resolves to NO.

For the purposes of this market:

• "Official goals" include senior-level goals scored for first-team club sides in official competitive matches (excluding club friendlies) and senior international goals scored for the Portugal national team. Goals scored in youth national teams (e.g., U17, U21, U23) and non-competitive club exhibitions do not count.

• The primary source of truth for the goal count will be the tracker on Messi vs Ronaldo.

• In the event of disputes over whether a specific goal is classified as "official," the market will resolve according to the consensus of reputable sports media outlets (such as ESPN, Sky Sports, or Transfermarkt) and the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS).
