Resolution criteria

This market resolves to YES if Lionel Messi scores his 950th official career goal in a match kicking off before January 1, 2027 (12:00 AM UTC). It resolves to NO if he does not reach this milestone by that time.

• Eligible Goals: Only official senior career goals scored for senior professional clubs (e.g., Barcelona, PSG, Inter Miami) and the senior Argentina national team will count. Club friendly matches are excluded, while official international friendlies for Argentina are included, conforming to standard FIFA official statistics.

• Source of Truth: Resolution will be determined using the official tallies from messivsronaldo.app and corroborated by Transfermarkt or official FIFA/MLS statistics.

As of late September 2026, Lionel Messi has scored 930 official career goals (805 for club, 125 for country). To reach the 950-goal milestone before 2027, he needs to score 20 goals during the remainder of the 2026 calendar year.
