OpenAI announced on February 2, 2025, the release of deep research for ChatGPT pro users and mentioned that “we are still working on bringing access to users in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and the European Economic Area.”

For the purpose of this market, the European Economic Area (EEA) is defined as the 27 European Union member states plus Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway (excluding Switzerland).

Deep research must be fully and publicly available—that is, not offered as a beta or limited release—to all pro users in each of these 30 countries by the end of February 2025. The market will resolve “yes” if deep research is available in every one of the listed countries during February 2025, “no” if it is unavailable in any one of them.
