HB 752 was just signed into law, adding Section 18-4117 to the Idaho Code. This law criminalizes usage of the preferred restroom for transgender persons.

Resolves YES if anyone is formally charged under the statute in 2026.

Resolves NO if not. Note that it doesn't matter if the charges are later dropped.

Boosted! I bumped this up to 10k liquidity as well. I'm curious what other people think here. From what I've heard these types of laws haven't been enforced much historically, but Idaho seems more intent on this.

sold Ṁ1 NO

@PlasmaPower Oh my, thanks so much!! 💕

That's my hope, though I know someone who got thrown out of a gun range for using the "wrong" restroom in Boise.

I feel like if it's going to happen anywhere, it'll be Idaho. But let's see what the market thinks! 🌺

Though I find the law completely unacceptable, my hope is that no one is actually charged for this sort of crime.

According to the linked article, at least one police group flagged the logistical burden in actually enforcing this law.

I pray it's a case of a bad law on the books no one enforces, like the federal criminalizion of cannabis 🙏🏻

bought Ṁ50 NO

@GnosticGirl nit: federal cannabis laws were (and are still in some jurisdictions) enforced quite severely. not a great example, but a good sentiment!
