@JimHays I read the linked document and I'm convinced it claims the AI could qualify into USAMO level by 2025.

@JimHays is this stuff I had to parse through saying the specific way to qualify for USAMO is manageable for an AI right now but the USAMO step itself is hard?

@Eliza Yes, the AIME is significantly easier than USAMO. Though USAMO is a easier than IMO, and they’re up to Silver on that. IMO is more prestigious though, so I think it’s gotten a lot more attention

I think you should elaborate on the conditions… obviously open ai o3 can probably usamo qual, but that’s with millions of dollars in compute
