Will resolve based on my own personal opinion. I will try to resolve as truthfully as possible. Of course, I will not bet on this market to avoid conflicts of interest.

I am chock-full of a ton of different issues right now and I would like to see what Manifold thinks. Some issues may not be listed here, either due to my own forgetfulness or unwillingness to talk about it (most likely the former).

-Weight and eating issues

-Self-image issues

-Maybe gender questions? Maybe dysphoria? No clue.

-Bouts of sudden depression late at night

-Immense procrastination (which is what I am doing right now)

-Lack of motivation and energy

-Struggle to develop a genuine passion (i.e. something that I love for the sake of it, not for the sake of receiving approval or something else)

-Multiple addictions (none of which are drugs, smoking, or alcohol, thankfully. All behavioral addictions. I'm trying to kick one as I type this.)

A "change" refers specifically to a significant and positive change, as suggested in the title, unless explicitly stated otherwise. "Significant" is self-explanatory. A "minor" change is one that can be done right now, such as "starting to work out" or "eating less", but doing so once would not count and doing so sporadically would be a "minor change". A "major" change must be one that is more qualitative, more consistent, or more significant, or some combination of the three. For example, "eating less" is a minor but significant change if done sporadically, while "becoming lean" would be a major significant change. "Going to see a therapist" is a minor and significant change if not consistent, while "being significantly mentally healthier" is a major and significant change. "Drinking coffee once" would be a minor but insignificant change; "habitualizing coffee drinking less than once a day but at least once a week" would be a minor, significant, but not necessarily positive change, while "being addicted to coffee" would be a major, significant, and negative change. I can elaborate more as necessary; traders can ping me directly or use the @creator ping to ask me for clarification.

Traders are permitted to add answers to bet on more and more specific predictions, but I ask that new answers be at least similar in form to current answers. I may resolve certain new options that are clearly irrelevant to the question.

When resolving this market, I will list out the changes that I believe were made. Some may be more vague than others for my personal informational safety, but I will try to be as transparent as possible.

  • Update 2025-03-16 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): Updated Definitions:

    • Minor Change: The creator has refined the definition to aim for a more objective interpretation of what constitutes a minor yet significant improvement, taking into account the frequency and impact of the change.

    • Major Change: The updated definition now stresses a higher threshold of consistency, quality, or overall impact, ensuring that only more substantial and lasting changes are considered major.

Please note that these updates add important detail to the resolution criteria and should be reviewed alongside the original definitions.

@traders updated definitions for "minor" and "major" changes to try to introduce more objectivity into an intrinsically subjective question

I think this should be unranked? I'm not sure if non-objective markets should count towards ranked
