Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has officially dropped out of the 2024 presidential race and endorsed Donald Trump. His decision to withdraw from the race came just before the New Hampshire primary, where polls showed him far behind the frontrunner Trump and former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley. DeSantis struggled to connect with voters and lost significantly in the Iowa caucuses. In a statement, he said, "It's clear to me that a majority of Republican primary voters want to give Donald Trump another chance"​
