I'm considering building a PC sometime in the near-mid future, but RAM costs ~£∞. Should I wait a year or will it get worse?

Disclaimer: I don't really understand PC hardware and I chatted to Claude for almost an hour to figure out what a reasonable benchmark would be. The below text was drafted by Claude and edited by me, but if somebody more knowledgeable than me thinks it's bad/unclear/gameable/whatever, please let me know. Details subject to change for a couple of weeks, but the spirit of the market won't change. I'll edit this description in a couple of weeks to firm up.

This market resolves based on the percentage change in the lowest price listed on PCPartPicker UK for the Corsair Vengeance 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36 Memory, in GBP including VAT.

On 2 October 2026, the lowest listed price was £445.99 (https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/JB3gXL/corsair-vengeance-32-gb-2-x-16-gb-ddr5-6000-cl36-memory-cmk32gx5m2b6000c36).

The market resolves according to the percentage change in the lowest listed price on 2 October 2027 (give or take a few days if the page isn't available that day). Percentage change = (new price ÷ £445.99) − 1.

If there's an obvious temporary sale on the resolution date, I'll use the normal price. If the kit is out of stock everywhere or discontinued, I'll use the closest equivalent (32GB, 2x16GB, DDR5-6000, same Corsair Vengeance line) and explain my choice in the comments.

If the result falls on a boundary, I'll resolve to the less extreme bin.
