Will Google docs automatically keep a document updated by end 2024

  1. I have a Todo list in Google docs

  2. I usually open it on PC

  3. But sometimes I open it on the phone

  4. Every time I open it on the phone there are two problems. First, it's not updated. It may be weeks and weeks behind and it takes 5-10s to unfreeze. Second, it unfreezes the cursor before it's actually applied all the changes it has downloaded. So I get to type for about five seconds before the entire top of the doc shifts and attempts to merge what I typed into something I haven't seen on this device yet

What I want

  • I want to tell google to keep the doc updated locally

  • So that when I open it, it's updated fully beforehand not forcing me to manually wait

  • Secondly I want them to fix their lockout algo to actually lock me out while the doc isn't updated yet OR not lock me out and let me work

  • NOT the current situation where they lock me out for the first 80% of updating, then let me edit and shift the doc under me.

This market is about if either of these bugs are fixed by end 2024 on an updated pixel7

I'm willing to configure anything to get this behavior but not willing to jailbreak my phone, install browser plugins to trick google into doing this, and not willing to do this by installing other phone apps. It has to be something I can set Google to do via normal user interfaces.

If there is already a way to do this and I don't know about it yet but I find out, that can resolve YES too.
