Banned from the time that ipads, phones, laptops are allowed to be used. It has to be more restricted than them.

Announcement of the ban + 24 hours w/out revocation counts. The ban doesn't have to be in effect yet, just announced. Major airlines are defined as:

• Delta Air Lines

• American Airlines

• Hawaiian Airlines

• Southwest Airlines

• Alaska Airlines

• United Airlines

• JetBlue

• Frontier Airlines

• Allegiant Air

• Spirit Airlines

If it's only banned during takeoff/landing, or only banned when you're asked to take it off, that doesn't count.
