^^^ This is the high-level three true outcomes version
Resolution
Somewhat subjective but I'll try to poll experts, use ai/LLMs/etc to get a single fair main outcome.
Explanations
Cheat physical device: specific data on a real device like ear audio implant, magnetic implant, etc is found and he is also banned. Must be at least semipermanent, and be implanted inside his body.
Cheat non-implant is a thing that communicates by vibrations in his shoe, pocket, hair etc. Or deep hearing aide with onboard battery. The difference is it can be personally removed.
Cheat helper: someone or something was giving him info visually or his sound over the air in the playing hall for example a small light+polarized contact lenses, or a rhythmic cough plus exact clock for interpretation etc.
As of now, 12/2023, I'd say he is "Still playing - widely suspected of cheating"
Note: for the first few days will adjust options per bettor feedback
I would say at this point he’s no longer actively “suspected of cheating”. It’s known that he cheated in computer chess when younger (he has admitted to such) but no one really thinks he cheated over the board against Carlsen, for instance.
He is being invited to large major tournaments (like the Tata Steel Challengers), Carlsen and Niemann settled, etc
@BoltonBailey I tried to correct it, but I think it's a bit slow to update.. It should be "Hans Niemann" - I will check back in about 10mins to verify I haven't somehow made it worse by trying to fix it
@Gen yeah I fixed it too, around the same time. Local caching can get pretty strong on manifold nowadays
@firstuserhere generally it's based on if he's still playing in FIDE or other leading chess tournaments or banned. Admission without details would be "confessed and quit". Is it possible he confesses to more cheating, for example even in top live games, but still plays?
