There will be a funeral ceremony and the body will be ejected out into space (either to float away or to be drawn into a sun or planet etc).
The person must have died in space. If the body is instead buried or left on a planet or other solar body, it doesn't count. If the body is not actually present it won't count; it can't just be symbolic. They must actively commit it. If the ceremony is for a damaged ship with bodies on board, after which they push off the ship into space, that can count. The point is whether they will do a space analogy of the naval practice of commiting the body to the ocean back on Earth.
