Twitch.tv is an online streaming platform. On 19 February 2025, they announced an upcoming change -- a summary of some highlights:

  • Starting April 19, 2025, all Highlights and Uploads, whether published or unpublished, will count towards a single 100-hour storage limit. The storage limit applies to all Highlights and Uploads on your channel, regardless of when they were created.

  • Channels still over the storage limit after April 19, 2025 will risk having their Highlights and Uploads automatically deleted, starting with Highlights with the least views, until they are under the limit. Download or export Highlights and Uploads you want to save before deleting them.

  • We will only delete content once, starting April 19th, until we bring all channels under the 100-hour limit for Highlights and Uploads. Once all channels have been brought under the 100-hour limit, no users will be able to exceed 100 hours of Highlights and Uploads moving forward.

In order for this market to resolve Yes:

  • Twitch must begin enforcing this limit on 19 April 2025. There must be at least some evidence presented before 21 April 2025 that they began enforcing the limit WITH DELETIONS. (Someone has to report their content was deleted with reasonable evidence.)

  • The limit must still be "100 hours".

  • This document does not outline any "special exceptions" for certain classes of users. If someone can demonstrate that there is already (as of 20 February 2025) a special exception class of user, then it's okay if those exceptions remain in effect.

The market will resolve No in cases like this:

  • The deadline is officially changed to a date other than 19 April 2025.

  • The deadline remains 19 April 2025 but no evidence of deletion is found anywhere

  • The limit amount is changed to a number other than 100 hours (larger or smaller)

  • Exceptions are added to the policy for certain classes of users to have more than 100 hours

Basically: If the policy is rolled out exactly as originally published on 19 February 2025, it should resolve Yes. If there are changes such that a user on 19 February 2025 who thought their limit would be exactly 100 hours on 19 April 2025, does not find themselves in that situation on 19 April 2025, it would resolve No.

Note that the market requires some evidence of deletion actually occurring on or before 21 April 2025. The deletion should have started on 19 April 2025 as claimed in the post:

We will only delete content once, starting April 19th
