Resolves to whatever year it is that I am able to use a prompt based software of some kind to generate a photorealistic (indistinguishable from reality by a uninformed viewer, similar in quality to current midjourney for most subjects) video of a kitten drinking out of a saucer of milk. It must cost less than $25 to generate and this must be the prompt: kitten drinking out of a saucer of milk, face covered in milk, messy kitty, cute
For reference this is what midjourney currently does with the above prompt:

And for your enjoyment here is another example of real kitten:

@DylanSlagh you should have Sora access through a $20 ChatGPT subscription now right. Time to try this out :)
@HenriThunberg I'm happy to make a big bet on this at ~60% if you're interested. I just don't want to leave up a limit order in case Dylan intimates a decision.
(I assume both of us have tried this with Sora!)
@HenriThunberg thanks for the heads up! tried this and it can indeed resolve! Showed this video to my mom and she had no suspicions that it could be AI in any way! It kind of cheated in a way because it didn’t show the physics of the milk but i could probably generate more that do.

Odd resolution choice. The video doesn't even meet the basic description in the market criteria. I guess there is a bowl, a kitten, and tongue movement, but the tongue movement isn't even in the bowl, and there's no indication it is milk or even that the bowl has a liquid in it.
It's also surprising that your mom doesn't suspect you're showing her something AI-generated since it seems you've done that multiple times now :)
@Jacy haha she’s quite oblivious to this sort of thing. But, like i said elsewhere in the comments, it’s ultimately up to my judgement. The physics simulation aspect of the query is a little more important to me than the fact that the milk itself isn’t shown, that’s what most gave me pause when resolving. I obviously could have generated more where the milk is shown in the saucer.
@DylanSlagh could you please share the link to the video outside of Sora? It does not allow to view the video in Europe
@Jacy Probably as many attempts as I want as long as the total cost stays below $25. Maybe the new model will be available with chatgpt plus. we'll see I guess. I'll probably use my mom and if she doesn't suspect it's AI generated then this market will resolve
@DylanSlagh I recommend adding that your mom will judge to the description.
I thought you meant "something in the level of this midjourney pic" (which is much more than it would take to trick my parents, I think)
@YonatanCale Ultimately it’s up to my judgement based on the wording of the description as it currently stands. I may or may not try to find a uninformed viewer or i might just use my judgement
@firstuserhere I was thinking that the total cost would have to be less than $25. I was trying to make some criteria which would have a similar price level to midjourney
@DylanSlagh ahh that does change things. Ik of a few companies pushing for the big subscription with lots of videos generation capabilities that might do this early next year. The per video cost will be much cheaper than 15 bucks
