Speaker Mike Johnson (R) is the current sitting speaker for the US house of representatives. However, his position is being challenged, with many members of the house being unhappy with his position, including Marjorie Taylor Greene (R) who has filled a motion to remove him from his seat. House democrats have offered the speaker a deal, however, saying that if he agrees to an Ukraine Aid Bill, which is awaiting vote, they will support his position as speaker.
