The United States has not experienced an EF5 tornado since May 20, 2013, in Moore, Oklahoma. This market predicts whether the National Weather Service will rate a tornado as EF5 before December 31, 2029. An EF5 rating indicates wind speeds exceeding 200 mph and catastrophic damage.
