My friend is a male Canadian in his mid-20s. He's been putting serious effort into his love life for around a year or two but hasn't yet managed to make a real connection or get himself laid. He says he's gotten comfortable with cold approaches and women seem receptive, some even accepting a date and kissing him, but nothing past that just yet. He's 6' tall, nearly finished with an engineering (not computer) degree, and he's presently working a manual labour job.

UPDATE APRIL 2026: He has been unemployed for around six months and he doesn't feel he will be able to get laid until he gets a job.

UPDATE OCTOBER 2026: He thankfully has a job now, but no longer seems to be prioritising this issue, perhaps because of demoralisation.
