The next GSS will likely be in 2023/2024. This question does not refer to the 2021 or 2022 data but the next survey after the 2022 one. This market will resolve when the results of the next General Social Survey are released. The resolution will depend on the percentage who report "very happy" to the following question: "Taken all together, how would you say things are these days--would you say that you are very happy, pretty happy, or not too happy". @DismalScientist Resolves NO. Data from 2021 (and 2022) is now available; both are lower than 2018. (19% and 25%, resp; 2018 has been revised down to 31% or the linked chart reports something slightly different than what was used to write the title. But it's a large difference, so I doubt it matters.

@EvanDaniel I meant next as of the writing of the question (December 2022) so not including the 2021 or 2022 data. Sorry for the confusion
