YES

NYT: "It sounded what could be gun shots interrupted Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania. Trump was hurried off the stage and appeared to be bleeding by his ear."

Resolves YES if someone intentionally shot a bullet or other bullet-like projectile* at Trump on July 13th. Resolves NO if accidental discharge or ricochet caused something to shoot towards Trump.

*I am using bullet-like projectile to mean something that is for all intents and purposes is a bullet but may not technically be a bullet. For example, I would not count a BB gun pellet since it is not plausibly lethal like a bullet would be.

resolves yes?

A very close call. If a butterfly flapped its wings near the shooter at T-minus 15 minutes, there's a 33% chance trump would have died. Then maybe there would be riots.

I think the title for this should be 'intentionally shoot'

I'd also like more specificity into "bullet-like" projectile. I more or less agree with the current percent, but a bloody ear could just as easily be caused by an air rifle, which is or isn't "bullet-like"?

I just mod-changed it to 'intentionally' - it's the same language used in the description, "Resolves YES if someone intentionally shot"

I would likely not count an air rifle because there would not be a serious risk to Trump’s life from it. I am just using bullet-like projectile to avoid anything that technically is not a bullet but works like a bullet for all intents and purposes

okay, thank you for clearing that up early! :)

(might be worth adding a clarification like that to the description, in case anyone comes in hardcore believing it wasn't a bullet)
