For a few years, my profile picture basically everywhere has been the art of the Magic: The Gathering card Mindshrieker.

Things I like about it:

• so pretty

• bluish (or purplish) gradient

• mostly abstract

• does vaguely symbolize an interest of mine

• I've had it for awhile so people associate it with me

• did I mention it's so pretty? it has a bluish gradient

Things I don't like about it:

• I have no connection to the card Mindshrieker. I've never played with it and haven't even memorized its abilities - I just think the art is pretty

• tethers my identity to MTG if you know its origin (yes, this is a positive and a negative)

• MTG knowers may also know that my username, Conflux, is a distinct card, so this is slightly confusing

• I did not personally create this art (this is a very high bar)

I think if I came across some bluish purplish art with better symbolism, I'd probably switch.

Resolves based on my Manifold profile picture on January 1, 2024. (I won't resolve the market until then, because I could switch back after switching to a new one.) If it's a variant of Mindshrieker, resolves to a percentage based on how mindshriekery it is.

Creator policy: I will bet on this market as normal, but I promise not to let winning it affect my decision making - in particular, I won't think extra hard about my profile picture on December 31.

General policy for my markets: In the rare event of a conflict between my resolution criteria and the agreed-upon common-sense spirit of the market, I may resolve it according to the market's spirit or N/A, probably after discussion.
