I’m going on a 2-day trip to San Diego with Proof School friends next week (flying in 2/13, returning 2/15). Inspired by @Joshua and @shankypanky‘s similar markets, I decided to make one.
If you have any recommendations of cool things to do in San Diego - or just fun things to do on a short trip with friends - feel free to add them! We’ll be staying at a hotel in downtown (near Waterfront Park), and we’ll have transit passes.
I may or may not manipulate the markets; you’ll have to price that in.
Inspirations:
General policy for my markets: In the rare event of a conflict between my resolution criteria and the agreed-upon common-sense spirit of the market, I may resolve it according to the market's spirit or N/A, probably after discussion.
I did swim in a pool though. 2-0 record at swimming races against people who are far better swimmers than me (with cleverness and wit)
@Stralor How much walking is necessary for a yes? When I visited the zoo yesterday I did a bit of walking, including walking to the bus stop, but not that much
@Conflux the zoo may be in the park, but I'd say you need to actually experience the park, whether that's the grand walkway through the beautiful buildings or a stroll around in the nature or garden sides
@Stralor Does it count if I’m walking for awhile but it’s within downtown? Or does a hike have to be in “nature”
@shankypanky @Conflux yep, definitely. the classics are carne asada or the california, but honestly go with whatever hits your fancy (esp since you mentioned you're vegetarian. a chile relleno might be to your fancy. or even the simple BRC. hard to beat the ingredients in SD even for the small things)
@Stralor I’m a burrito fan, so I think the chances are pretty good - we’ll probably go to a Mexican place within two days
