@CarsonGale When I saw that you mentioned you were traveling, I thought you might be aiming to travel west very quickly, or go above the arctic circle.
@IsaacKing can confirm that this is not the case! Just in Missouri & will be going to Florida later this week, but nothing that would make me think the sun wouldn't rise!

What if you're hanging upside down, so it looks like it's falling, not rising?
@IsaacKing relevant question as there is supposed to be a winter storm!
My understanding is that the various meteorologists out there would know if the sun didn't rise, even if it is cloudy and dark the whole day. So in this case I would want a credible news report for a no resolution.
