An issue I've noticed is that it is very easy for new markets to get drowned out. Obviously Manifold needs to improve it's "Suggested for You" algorithm regardless, but another solution is allowing users to pay Mana to feature their markets on the home page.
Provides another way to make Mana valuable and could be auction-style so busy seasons could run up the going feature price.
Discussed in this feature request post.
@ian The intention of the market was to cover any functionality whereby market creators could pay to "feature" their own markets. The description does mention the home page as a specific location, but it also mentions that the requested functionality is further described in the feature request post where it suggests featuring on the home page or markets with increased regularity in Swipe as potential feature locations.
Also, given the "home page" differs depending on whether you are accessing via phone / computer, it might be confusing to resolve based on home page.
Thoughts? The original description certainly could have been worded more clearly.
Decided to create the same market but with a closing date of 12/31/25. This better filters the noise of "is it worth spending time on relative to all other Manifold projects" and focuses in on: "between now and when Manifold (ideally) is a more stable platform, will this feature/monetization method be worthwhile to test"
