Draft legislation says it will now be possible to apply after 5 years, or 3 years with sufficiently good German skills. Resolves YES with an affirmative vote in the Bundestag before September 1st 2023.

The Bundestag was on summer recess for all of August, and did not vote on the bill (though it seems like it has official Cabinet approval.) Resolves NO.
