YES

The Turkey quake was 7.8. Only about a dozen recorded earthquakes were more powerful. Each .1 increase is a doubling of intensity.

actually I would argue that you should resolve YES right away, there was an aftershock of 7.5 after the 7.8 one: https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/us6000jlqa/executive

bought Ṁ4 of YES

but that was before I created the question so why would that count?

predicted YES

@BTE I guess so, by the way that you stated the question (in the future), the description could be understood that it was after the 7.8 one. I'm still very certain (more than 95% as you can see) that there will be another one of at least 7.1

predicted NO

@egroj Yes I just saw your table and I agree.

I just read that this is the second this year already. First one in Pacific.

@BTE plus two of exactly 7.0

bought Ṁ10 of NO

Why is this so high? Did something happen?

bought Ṁ500 of YES

@BTE yes, I did some research instead of following my intuition lol. Earthquakes of more than 7.0 are quite common (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_earthquakes_in_2023):

and it is only February...

bought Ṁ5 of YES

By "tops 7" do you mean 7.1 qualifies or 8.0?
