Trump was ruled to have led an insurrection but allowed to stay on the ballot. arguably, this is the worst ruling Donald Trump could’ve ever gotten. The trial Judge can only just decide the factual record of whether or not he committed insurrection, but on a matter of law, they can’t decide in a meaningful way, whether he should be removed from the ballot only appeals court can make that determination, but they appeals court isn’t going to undo the finding that he committed an insurrection because that can only be done in a trial court. This resolves yes if the Colorado Supreme Court overturn the trial court decision and removes Trump from the ballot.
