@BTE What I see from this: Married a wife born in taiwan may also gives Mitch an advantage of “able to show his support to TW topics anytime anywhere meanwhile not having to go there in person.”

@stormtk293 Good point. Seems Chao’s father is also very close to Jiang Zemin so perhaps that is a redline that would have negative consequences for them personally.

@BTE Yes, Chao’s farther owns Foremost Group, also being Jiang Zemin’s classmate in 1940’s. Chao’s family has broad connections in the Greater China Circle both mainland and Taiwan. I would say Chao represents the group which has built past US-China relationship and reshaped both’s economic in decades. For a powerful woman like Chao normally will keep playing balance game. Lots of things can be done without going to China or Taiwan. Overall speaking, I would say Mitch do has higher chance than his wife on this :) will happily bet against that if Chao has same market.
