The copyright case filed by the NYTimes against OpenAI has already exposed the shockingly weak argument for why they must be able to use copyrighted material. It's so weak as to be laughable and amounts to "we can't build ChatGPT or make money off of it without free access to copyrighted material". Then there are the claims of Sam being a toxic leader who plays people against each other. But then again he has the clear loyalty of most of the OpenAI team. So what do you think?
