This question resolves 'YES' for the next YouTube channel who currently has 1 million or more subscribers (as of Feb 26, 2024) that announces that they will no longer be making YouTube videos for the foreseeable future.

There are too many options for me to be aware of, so please ping me in the comments if you find a YouTuber that retires after February 26th who had at least 1 million subscribers on February 26th according to Socialblade.

If a YouTuber passes the channel down to someone who is not currently a face of the channel, then it will still resolve 'YES'.

If a channel belongs to a large group of people (e.g. Linus Tech Tips or a corporate brand channel) and one face of the channel retires (e.g. Linus) but other prominent presenters who were previously present remain, then it will not meet the criteria for a positive resolution.

If a channel simply moves to another equivalent platform (e.g. A right-wing YouTuber moves to Rumble to avoid being de-platformed) such as Rumble or Vimeo but continues to make YouTube-type content, then that doesn't count. If they quit YouTube but move to Twitch, TikTok, or a platform that isn't equivalent to YouTube, then that counts.

An announcement must be made. If the YouTuber simply stops posting without notice or passes away, then that is not enough for a positive resolution. If a channel is removed by YouTube, then that doesn't count either.

Any suggestions for other options? If one is popular enough then I may add it myself so you don't have to.
