This refers to reducing the anterior-posterior (front-to-back) dimension of the ribcage by at least 3 inches from a person's original measurement.
Criteria are
Has received regulatory approval (FDA, EMA, or equivalent)
Published safety data shows <5% major complication rate in at least 100 patients
The 3+ inch reduction is measured as decrease in anteroposterior diameter at maximum ribcage projection (so just reducing the lower ribs wouldn't count, it has to be a reduction of the most forward-facing point to the most backward facing point if that makes sense.)
@digory Personally I wish my ribcage was smaller from front to back because it bothers me a lot & I think I would be prettier that way (to myself at least lol) and was wondering how realistic people would think a medical way to do this would actually be this century lol. I also want to make questions about all sorts of cosmetic/body modification stuff just in general.
