The heads of the New York State Legislature along with U.S. Reps. Hakeem Jeffries and Gregory Meeks, City Comptroller Brad Lander, City Council Speaker Adrienne Adams and civil-rights leader Rev. Al Sharpton were expected to meet with Hochul to discuss whether she should remove Adams from office, people familiar with the matter said. Another possibility under consideration is convening a committee of city officials who would vote on whether Adams is unable to lead, the people said.
Top City Hall officials have abandoned the mayor’s administration in recent days while Adams has faced mounting criticism over the Justice Department’s move to dismiss the criminal charges against him.
@Predictor Even more embarrassing: It worked. https://www.nytimes.com/2025/01/29/us/politics/justice-department-trump-charges-eric-adams.html

Not sure why this dropped to 2% but Polymarket has him at 60% to at least last through the start of 2025, which seems to imply that it can't be thiiiis low unless I'm missing something.
@benshindel These are two different markets though. Adams term in office runs until 1/1/2026, while Polymarket has him staying through the start of 2025. He might hold on for a few months, but its very unlikely he makes it for all of 2025.

Let me know if anyone has suggestions for others to add!
@AndyMartin The raid was almost certainly timed to occur during the highly publicized migrant crisis meeting at the White House. Adam's reaction to the raid, abandoning the meeting to rush back to NYC, speaks volumes given that it is a terrible look.
Based on the available information, there is currently no definitive evidence that suggests New York City Mayor Eric Adams will not complete his term, which is set to end on January 1, 2026.
