@Predictor Betting against the Ravens in the playoffs is why I'm solvent.

Theory goes like this:

Assumption 1) Running quarterbacks generally and Lamar specifically are bad at passing and it's only because of their threat to run that they can pass

Assumption 2) Good tactics can be had against a running quarterback which won't let him run

Assumption 3) The defense isn't sufficiently general to make it the default regular season defense

Assumption 4) In the playoffs Coaches can teach and use a completely new defensive scheme

The theory is based on the idea that it can be hard to defend against in the regular season.

I think his record vs NFC (24-4) compared to AFC (50-25) points in this direction. It's hard to defend against him because of novelty etc. but if you're familiar with him, a proper defense can be played. And in the playoffs you can be sure a coach will run that tailored defense
