YES

The San Francisco Planning Commission passed the adaptive reuse ordinance, introduced by Mayor Breed and Supervisor Peskin. The law would make it easier to turn office and commercial real estate in certain areas around downtown in residential by giving by-right approval (no hearing necessary) if the project meets certain guidelines. In order to become law, the ordinance still needs to pass the Board of Supervisors and be signed into law by the mayor.
