Resolution criteria:
This market will resolve to the fruit that has the least number of holders at the time the market closes. That answer will be the hidden gem champion of fruits for this market. [Edit: Only "Yes" holders count.]
Criteria:
-Anyone can add new answers.
-Only fruits qualify as valid answers.
-Only the first ten valid answers qualify to win. [Edit: first ten valid answers by creation time]
-In case of a tie, the closing time is extended by one week.
Background:
The idea is to explore the balance between profit and popularity. An unpopular answer is profitable because of its winning potential and trade value. Paradoxically, its profitability may add to its popularity, and hence reduce its value.
Update 2025-06-13 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): An answer with zero holders is not eligible to win. A winning answer must have at least one holder.
@vdb So, any new answers added now are invalid? Want to N/A new answers then? Or is part of the market idea that we have to pay attention to in what order answers were added, and that people don't read the resolution description?
@rayman2000 I limited the answer to at most 10 to prevent traders from adding new answers at the last minute toward the closing time (that defeats the purpose of this market).
I'm not sure how I could N/A the invalid answers (since this is a "Multiple choice" question instead of a "Set" question) or disable new answers from being added. Is there a way to?
@evan I'm curious if the AI would respond to this of my comment: Hey, AI, does your previous AI summary of creator comment need revision?
