Resolution criteria

This market will resolve to the candidate who is officially declared the winner of the County Kerry gubernatorial election. The resolution will be based on the official election results published by the appropriate electoral authority. If none of the listed candidates wins, the market will resolve as N/A.

Background

The County Kerry gubernatorial election features several candidates:

• Avril Leahy: A candidate for the Presentation Party, Avril Leahy is aiming to keep the governorship for the party for the 6th consecutive election. She has served in many cabinet positions, most notably serving as Finance Minister in First Minister Karina Mulchinock's government from 2022 to 2024.

• Denis Maguire: A candidate for Fianna Fail, Denis Maguire has been a prominent member of the party in the county as a councillor, and has served in a number of shadow cabinet positions.
