impressive field this year. they've never really trotted out a strong orange, but they did a weaksauce coral a couple years back and this year's peach is probably too close to go back-to-back. a couple purples in recent years, but it seems to be a perennial favorite, and I like a lavender's chances if the committee is willing to branch out into repeat pastels — historically unprecedented, but not unthinkable. if that's on the table, then seafoam fits the bill too.
we seem due for a brown, maybe copper or umber, but why have they never run one before? might be a tough marketing play: can't pitch it as soothing like a gray but can't really fill that vibrancy niche either. personally, a cool-toned olive variant makes me weak, but might be another decade before the public is ready for that.
