Why was this cancelled? The heck?

@Dynd mods think it wasnt clear enough

@strutheo Mods must be retarded

bought Ṁ125 NO

Does TikTok have to be actually banned or change ownership or just the bill being signed?

@Calvin6b82 just bill signed see description

bought Ṁ200 YES

@strutheo ok that's a bit much really

sold Ṁ153 NO

@strutheo big oof, that's very different than the title. TikTok has 9 months to sell in the bill.

@Calvin6b82 @jacksonpolack what do you mean

the law goes into effect when it is signed, no?

@strutheo the bill gives TikTok 9 months to sell or face a ban and the president can extend that deadline

yea but its still a signed law.... they're still being forced to sell the company or risk being banned?

@Calvin6b82 the enforcement could take a decade for all we know

@Calvin6b82 if i was using this rule, then there was no way it could ever happen before the election

@jacksonpolack huh what do you mean a bit much?

@strutheo but being banned and facing a ban are very different things. One means it's unavailable, one doesn't.

@strutheo exactly that's why I was buying no

@Calvin6b82 why would i make a market where the only outcome is NO though

@Calvin6b82 i mean every news source is calling it the 'tiktok ban bill' even if its technically not a full ban

@strutheo it wasn't when you made it

@Calvin6b82 if we use your assumption it was never possible to resolve YES because it would have always taken 9 months and i made this less than 9 months from the election date

bought Ṁ100 YES

@strutheo the old bill the house passed gave TikTok 6 months

@Calvin6b82 ok i dont really care, up to @Joshua since he made me change the title halfway through and @jacksonpolack since he said it was 'too much' and idk if thats good or bad

i cant NA this market even if i tried, they stop that now

@strutheo the senate can still pass H.R.7521 - Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act right now theoretically and TikTok will only have 6 months to sell or get banned with no possible extension. That would still be before the election.

@strutheo I'm not making you change the title lol, was just pointing out that people could easily be confused.

I think N/A is only prevented when it would make someone go negative. In my opinion N/A is a reasonable thing to do in cases like this, but others might disagree.

@Calvin6b82 I think you're misunderstanding

@Joshua yep that was a very misleading title
