One of the few things that historians say is definitely true about Jesus is that he really was crucified. Probably because the Romans saw the message he was preaching as a threat. Had to be pretty brave to face crucifixion for his beliefs.

Literally performed the bravest act possible (suffering for the totality of all sin). True, He was kind, suggesting Hufflepuff, but he wasn't mild-mannered, or especially patient (see overturning the tables) so Hufflepuff isn't the best guess. Gryffindor.

The man had a complex plan to allow all of humanity to evade their debts by getting his friend to turn him into the Romans, thereby sacrificing himself to himself, for three days. Sounds pretty Slytherin to me.
