This market will be extended indefinitely until there is a scientific consensus on if Polynesian peoples made contact with Amerindian people of South America.

The standard of scientific consensus will be if there is widespread affirmative or non-affirmative scientific consensus of Polynesian contact to the same level of the current consensus on Norse contact with North Americans.

Contact is defined simply as any successful voyage from Polynesia to continental South America or vice versa where the two groups met each other within the timeline, restricted to the timeline of being post-the start of Polynesian exploration and pre-Columbus contact with the Americas.
