You can use your own remote MCP servers (guide) in ChatGPT, but these aren't available in the voice chat interface. Will it be possible before July in 2026?

Requirements:

• Shouldn't require special approval by OpenAI

• Shouldn't require me to approve the MCP each time the agent tries to make a tool call with it (the old Actions API had this problem for voice chat), enabling it once should be enough

• It should work with an externally hosted endpoint, like described in the guide above
