On November 10, 2025, U.S. President Donald Trump threatened the BBC with legal action over documentary program "Panorama's" editing of the speech he made ahead of the Capitol riots on Jan. 6, 2021. Trump's legal team gave the BBC a deadline of November 14, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. EST to comply with demands, or face legal action for no less than $1,000,000,000 (One Billion Dollars) in damages.

This market resolves YES if Trump's legal team files an actual lawsuit against the BBC in any U.S. court by December 31, 2025. A threat letter or cease-and-desist letter does not count—only a formal legal filing. Resolution can be verified through PACER (Public Access to Court Electronic Records) at https://www.pacer.gov/ or major news reports confirming the filing.

Resolves NO if no lawsuit is filed by the deadline.
