Being sacked, dismissed, or removed directly by the Prime Minister without resigning first.
Being reassigned to a different Cabinet role during a reshuffle.
Temporary leaves of absence (e.g., medical or parental leave) where the minister remains in office.

Background
Following the resignation of Keir Starmer in June 2026, Andy Burnham (the former Mayor of Greater Manchester) returned to Westminster as the MP for Makerfield, won the Labour leadership unopposed, and was appointed Prime Minister of the United Kingdom on July 20, 2026. Burnham quickly formed his new Cabinet, appointing veteran MP John Healey as Chancellor of the Exchequer, Louise Haigh as First Secretary of State, and shuffling various portfolios to construct his initial team.
Given the swift transition of power and the ongoing factional shifts within the Labour Party following the Starmer-to-Burnham transition, this market tracks the stability of the Burnham Cabinet through the remainder of 2026.
